Constipation is the worst. Not only can it not hurt, but the stomach feels bloated, huge, and just plain uncomfortable. But there are ways to treat constipation with items you already have in your pantry.
1) Baking soda and warm water
Mix one teaspoon of baking soda in a quarter cup of warm water. Drink it quickly so it works fast. It will ease the pain of constipation and get things moving.
2) Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize
Dehydration can cause constipation. So you’ll want to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. Drinking sparkling water is said to help with constipation because it hydrates you, while carbonated water helps push things out.
3) Eat Blackstrap Molasses
Take a spoonful of black molasses before going to bed. You should feel relaxed by morning. It contains many vitamins and minerals, including magnesium, which helps relieve constipation.
4) Fill in Fiber
Having enough fiber in your diet helps increase bowel movements so you can pass them out easily. It can help prevent constipation, but eating some fiber can make things worse when you’re constipated. Non-fermentable soluble fiber like psyllium is the type that helps with constipation.
4) Stop eating white pudding
Foods like cheese, ice cream, milk and other dairy products can cause constipation. Because they inhibit bowel movements. Eliminating or reducing milk and dairy products can help relieve constipation.
5) Move more
Exercise is good for our health. It can also help with constipation. Movement can get your stomach moving. Here are some specific exercises or yoga poses that can be done to help with this.
